Founded by Directors Nikhil Chonde and Akshay Diwakar Bamnote, Solar Basket was built on a belief that set it apart from the start – that solar energy in India needed to move beyond rooftop power generation into agriculture, infrastructure and daily living. The company’s momentum received a boost when it secured seed funding of ₹50 lakh from the Central Government’s Department of Science & Technology (DST), backing continued investment in technology development – strengthening an engineering-led approach that incorporates IoT-enabled features and sustained R&D, with every product built for real Indian operating conditions.
