India’s First Nanobubble Pioneer: How Prasinos Made World-Class Technology Affordable for Everyone

Posted on September 5, 2025 By The Medium News No Comments on India’s First Nanobubble Pioneer: How Prasinos Made World-Class Technology Affordable for Everyone

Hyderabad, (Telangana) [India], September 5, 2025: For years, if you wanted nanobubble technology in India, you had two choices: import expensive foreign systems or go without. Most farmers and small businesses chose the latter; they simply couldn’t justify spending lakhs on water treatment equipment.

Prasinos Tech Innovations decided that wasn’t good enough.

When Dr. Anupam Mukherjee started the company in Hyderabad, he had a straightforward goal: build the same quality technology that big international companies were selling, but at prices that actually made sense for Indian businesses.

“We kept seeing farmers and factory owners dealing with wastewater problems that nanobubbles could easily solve,” Dr. Mukherjee says. “But the imported systems cost more than most of them made in a year. Someone had to change that.”

Making the invisible visible

Nanobubbles are exactly what they sound like: bubbles so small you can’t see them. Unlike regular bubbles that pop and disappear, these nanoscopic ones stick around in water for hours, slowly releasing oxygen and cleaning as they go.

International suppliers were charging premium prices for this technology, treating it like some kind of space-age innovation. But Dr. Mukherjee’s team proved it didn’t have to be that complicated or expensive.

Today, Prasinos generates over a trillion nanobubbles per milliliter of water, matching or beating what foreign competitors offer, while costing significantly less.

From fish ponds to factory floors

The impact has been pretty remarkable. Shrimp farmers who used to lose 30-40% of their stock are now seeing survival rates above 90%. Small textile units are meeting environmental standards they couldn’t afford to meet before. Food processing plants are cutting their chemical usage in half.

Take the farmer from Kakinada who recently told Dr. Mukherjee, “I finally don’t have to worry about my ponds crashing anymore. And I saved enough on chemicals to expand my operation.”

That’s become a common story. What started as an aquaculture solution is now spreading across industries, anywhere businesses need cleaner water or better oxygenation.

Beyond the business case

Here’s what makes this interesting: Prasinos isn’t just competing on price. Their systems often perform better than imports while costing less. The technology eliminates the need for many chemicals, cuts energy bills, and produces cleaner results.

It’s turned into something of a win-win situation. Companies save money on operating costs while reducing their environmental impact. And because the technology is made locally, there are no import delays or foreign exchange hassles.

Building something bigger

What Dr. Anupam Mukherjee and his team have created goes beyond just another technology company. They’ve shown that Indian businesses don’t have to choose between environmental responsibility and financial reality.

“We’re proving that you don’t need to be a multinational corporation to access the best environmental technology,” he explains. “When clean technology is affordable, more people use it. When more people use it, everyone benefits.”

As Prasinos expands into new industries, they’re essentially rewriting the rules about who gets access to advanced environmental solutions. The answer, it turns out, is everyone — if you price it right and build it locally.

Sometimes the most important innovations aren’t the fanciest ones. They’re just the ones that more people can actually use. Prasinos Tech Innovations, will be at Aquaex India 2025 from September 11–13 in Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh, showing the benefits of their nano bubble generator to the attendees.
