AMARA Partners with Skye Air Mobility to Enable Drone Delivery of Sanitary Pads and Period-Care Products in Delhi-NCR

Posted on August 22, 2026 By The Medium News No Comments on AMARA Partners with Skye Air Mobility to Enable Drone Delivery of Sanitary Pads and Period-Care Products in Delhi-NCR

India’s first drone-enabled delivery service for period-care and women’s hygiene products aims to provide faster, same-day access to essential healthcare products across Delhi-NCR.

New Delhi, August 22, 2026: After food, groceries and medicines, sanitary pads and period-care products will now be delivered by drones. Babel Biosciences Private Limited, the women-led organisation behind period-care brand AMARA, has partnered with Skye Air Mobility to introduce same-day drone delivery of sanitary napkins, period-care products and other essential women’s healthcare products across Delhi-NCR. The initiative aims to provide women with faster access to essential period-care products while bringing innovation and advanced technology into women’s healthcare and D2C delivery.

The collaboration brings together healthcare and advanced logistics, with AMARA becoming India’s first hygiene company to adopt drone delivery for period-care and essential hygiene products. The drone-powered delivery model is designed to overcome delays associated with road traffic and conventional last-mile delivery, enabling customers to receive necessary hygiene products on the same day. Skye Air Mobility has been developing its drone-powered logistics network for healthcare, e-commerce and other time-sensitive deliveries.

The drone-based delivery model will enable customers across Delhi-NCR to receive period-care products, medicines, emergency OTC products and other healthcare essentials on the same day. The collaboration aims to highlight how period care and other essential items can now be delivered on priority, demonstrating how technology can play a significant role in improving women’s healthcare access.

“Indian women deserve healthcare that’s as uncompromising as they are. Our mission is to deliver the highest-quality health and wellness products, without exceptions. By teaming up with Skye Air for drone delivery, we’re stepping into a future where essentials like medicines and emergency OTC products reach women fast, safely, and reliably, even in today’s traffic-filled, congested cities.” – Isha Qureshi, CEO, AMARA

“Drone technology is transforming the way essential products can reach customers, particularly in congested urban areas where conventional last-mile delivery can face delays. Our partnership with AMARA brings this technology into an important area of women’s healthcare, enabling faster and more reliable access to period-care and other essential products. We are pleased to work with AMARA in building a delivery model that combines technology, speed and accessibility, and we believe this initiative can set the foundation for wider adoption of drone-led healthcare deliveries in India.”Mr .Ankit Kumar – Founder & CEO, Skye Air Mobility

The drone delivery model aims to overcome one of Delhi-NCR’s biggest last-mile challenges – traffic congestion. By shifting a part of the delivery journey from crowded roads to the skies, AMARA and Skye Air aim to reduce delays and make time-sensitive healthcare products available on priority.

The service will use Skye Air Mobility’s drone-powered logistics network, which has been developed for the movement of healthcare products, e-commerce shipments and other time-sensitive essentials.

The collaboration also highlights a significant shift in the quick-commerce ecosystem. While consumers can already order food, groceries and electronics for rapid delivery, urgent women’s healthcare requirements have not always received the same attention.

AMARA wants to change this perception by positioning sanitary pads and period-care products as necessities that must be prioritised – not as optional additions to a shopping basket.

The initiative is also expected to offer women greater privacy and convenience while ordering essential hygiene products. This could be particularly relevant for customers who may feel uncomfortable purchasing period-care products physically or discussing their requirements openly.

The partnership with Skye Air Mobility goes beyond adding another delivery option. It demonstrates how women’s healthcare, technology and advanced logistics can work together to address an immediate, real-world need.

As quick delivery becomes an integral part of urban life, AMARA’s message is simple: if food and groceries can be delivered on priority, sanitary pads should be too.
